Grant Request Guidelines
The Rotary Club of Eau Claire is proud to support the work of non-profit organizations which enhance the lives of people in our Chippewa Valley communities. Awards, amounts, and grant timing are at the full discretion of the Rotary Club of Eau Claire.
Rotary prioritizes funding for projects focused on areas of focus:
- Peace building and conflict prevention
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Community economic development
- Supporting the environment
Funding Guidelines:
- Projects should be in one of our focus areas, sustainable, and directly benefiting the people served and our community.
- Meet a demonstrated community need without duplication.
- Grant requests will take priority over sponsorship requests.
- The majority of grants awarded are about $500 or less. However, grants of up to $1,000 may be considered.
- Grant requests must be submitted before the end of March or September to be considered for award in or after May and November (respectively).
– Exceptions to this timeline may be made at the discretion of the Club
- Recipients are expected to attend a Rotary meeting to accept their check and provide follow-up information on how the funds were utilized.
The following items do not fit our funding requirements and will generally not be funded:
- Ongoing operating and/or programming expenses
- Fundraising drives or related activities
- Capital campaigns
- Funds toward putting on a conference or to attend a conference or training
- Travel expenses
- Projects that are sectarian in purpose (advancing a religion or politics)
